Could the stock market crash again?

There's no denying it, the stock market, overall, has performed remarkably well over the last several years - to the point where some find stocks too expensive to afford. Could the stock market crash again? Some believe we're due for a natural market correction, or worse: a crash.

Unfortunately, predicting when stocks will drop or when/if the market will crash is impossible. But rest assured, it will come as the markets are cyclical and we are overdue for a bit of a recession. That doesn't mean, however, that we can't stay prepared for the next crash.

A solid investment strategy to protect against this inevitable turn in the market is through annuities. They offer features that are especially appealing to people over 50 like guaranteed payments, delaying Social Security and covering at the cost of increasing medical expenses.

Owning an annuity helps eliminate the anxiety and fear of outliving your resources and arms you with a long-term success plan. Because annuities often include the guarantee of lifetime payments— once purchased, it can also bring about more sound sleep, significantly decreased stress and easy days filled with the joy of grandchildren and golf.

So, while it is impossible to know if the stock market will crash tomorrow or a couple of years from now, it is entirely possible (and vital) to design your portfolio in a manner that keeps you protected and prepared.
